Perspectives on where and how to start on the journey working with galleries

I’ve worked in a variety of roles in the art industry for many years. I’m an artist, I’ve run a gallery, and I’ve run a non-profit. Participating in so many different facets of the art industry has given me some unique perspectives. I’m sharing them with Handmade Seller readers.
The calls for art were the foundation of the gallery. I was offering emerging and mid-career artists a chance to showcase their artwork in a professional space along with the opportunity to sell their artwork.
I curated over forty group and solo exhibitions during that time where over 3,000 pieces of artwork crossed my path! Out of all those pieces and all of the artists, there are only a handful that stood out. I'm about to share with you the simple tips and advice you can implement immediately to be remembered and have more opportunities to showcase and sell your artwork.
In this first installment, I want to share my perspective on the easiest way to start working with galleries. If you have ever aspired to work with galleries, or want to increase your likelihood of getting accepted into galleries, read on!
