Finding time to vacation with family and friends is a hallmark of the summer, but getting away can get a little complicated when you’re attached to a computer, cell phone, and craft studio all day and every day. How do you balance the need to vacation with running a small business? One of the more common requests I get from clients during these warm weather months is how to effectively communicate that you will be on vacation. There are so many concerns when a small business owner checks out (even for a long weekend) that it can be overwhelming just thinking about setting a date. Let’s suppose you have set a date and you are gearing up to go out. The purpose of this article is to reaffirm the importance of taking that time off while also setting forth a guideline for you to communicate with your customers.
