On July 30th, a new Executive Order was signed that has eliminated the de minimis rule for all shipments into the US. This is the second major de minimis change in the US this year.
Earlier in May, the de minimis rule was eliminated for packages from China and Hong Kong. Now the rule has been enacted for the rest of the world. Read on for more details on what is changing, when it is coming and what we know so far on how the duties will work. I will also share my advice on things you should think about for your business related to this change.
