Etsy’s Design Awards Winner Confirms Macrame’s Comeback

At the end of August, the 2021 Etsy Design Award winners were announced online. The grand prize winner, Candice Luter, gained a ton of press and interest in particular due to her unique use of macrame for modern home decor. Her various custom mirrors and hanging fiber wall art pieces are not just unique, they have also helped redefine macrame in terms of modern home decor on Etsy. 

With this revamped interest in macrame wall art, it’s the perfect time for other handmade sellers that specialize in unique home decor or macrame to market themselves vigorously and try to pique the interest of new people who discovered macrame through Etsy’s feature. It may just lead to a new fanbase!
