Etsy Reveals Its 2019 Holiday Trends

Etsy is preparing sellers for the 2019 holiday season with a new Marketplace Insights report. The holiday guide includes tips to maximize profits and capture shoppers’ attention for Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and of course, Christmas.

“Shopping for holiday decorations peaks in November [and] gift shopping picks up speed after Halloween,” Etsy explains.

Let’s dive into the details and talk about the trending holiday items. Be sure to update your Etsy titles and tags to include these terms!

Vintage Holiday Items

The terms “vintage holiday” and “vintage Christmas” have had a 158% increase in searches. If you make holiday-themed items, check out what vintage decorations looked like and see if you can replicate any of those styles.

Metallic Details

Glitzy products seem to be trending because the term “metallic” has had a 17% increase. This is an easy detail that you can add to your existing product line!

Sustainable Choices

This wonderful trend comes as no surprise. Caring for the planet and making smart purchasing decisions has steadily become more popular for a while now. The term “eco friendly” has doubled in searches over the last year.
