Instagram Launches 3 New Shopping Features to Help Retailers Boost Sales
Save to shopping collection
Instagram users can now easily save products of interest using the new “Save to shopping collection” option. After tapping on a product tag, users can simply click on the save icon at the bottom of the page. Shopping collections can be accessed later at any time to browse the saved items.
2. Shop via Instagram video
Video posts on the platform now support shoppable items! Instagram has inserted a new shopping icon at the bottom of branded videos. Users can tap on the icon to see the products featured in the video, along with the prices.
3. New ‘Shop’ tab for business profiles
Instagram has made it easier for users to find specific products on the platform. Business profiles will now include a ‘shop’ tab, which will let shoppers access product feeds of the respective brands.
