Disney joins the fight against intellectual property theft from AI companies

In the artisan craft world, there are two companies that are very well known for protecting their intellectual property. Can you name them?
First, the Smiley Company owns the rights to the yellow smiley face in over 100 countries. And they protect that right- it is not uncommon online to see people comment about how their items were taken down off of marketplaces for trademark violations. If you do online searches you can easily find stories of how people were pursued by the Smiley company.
Second, Disney is also known for protecting its brands. What are some of the major brands owned by Disney? Mickey Mouse, Toy Story and anything created by Pixar, the Minions, Star Wars, Marvel, and the list goes on. We all know the animated Mickey Mouse character- that cute little talking mouse that so many people love. When it comes to protecting their intellectual property, the corporation behind the mouse is more like an 800 pound gorilla. They have entered the conversation in a big way that will make many artisans cheer. So pop some popcorn and read on- the mouse is in the AI house.
