Our subconscious acts as a filing cabinet and everything we see, hear, and experience is filed away into it. There’s no logic and no emotion attached to anything that’s filed away in your subconscious; it simply says “yes” to everything. So, if you say, “I’m such an idiot” every time you screw up, your subconscious files that away and tries to make it your reality because its job is to reinforce whatever information you put into it. Have you ever noticed how clumsiness seems to come in waves? One day you might hurt yourself and think, “I’m so clumsy” and then for the next week you find that you’re bumping into everything in your path.
