We’re often sold on the idea that “winners persevere” or we should “never give up.” We’re told that this is one of the defining characteristics of a “winner” and in a sense; it’s absolutely true. However, this attempt to ‘deconstruct the concept of a winner’ is undeniably simplistic.
It’s true that a winner will persevere and work harder and longer than their peers. They are committed to a goal irrespective of the effort or obstacles in the way – a true winner will always find a way to overcome those obstacles or work within the parameters of their limitations.
