How networking grew my soap business - ADO Soaps
Discover how networking and passion transformed a solo soap maker's journey from DIY beginner to successful small business owner with ADO Soaps.

I am the owner, artisan, social media manager, web designer, bookkeeper, etc. behind ADOSoaps. I’m also a stay-at-home mom that homeschools a 9-year-old and I’m a ‘sometimes student’ with a year left, majoring in Communication. I guess I wear a lot of hats! I’ve been making soap for three years. In fact, January is my three year anniversary! I received my first bottles of lye as a Christmas gift from a friend who introduced me to the idea of making soap, but it was still a year before the bug bit me. While soap making didn’t take me by surprise, my passion for it did. I had no idea before making my first loaf of soap that I could create anything. Creativity was the domain of other talented individuals, but not me.
