How I Created a 6-Figure Brand from $100

Hello! I am so honored to share my journey as a handmade entrepreneur with my peers. I am the creator of Studio Wildflower, a home decor brand that is based around eco-conscious consumerism.

I know every one of you can do what they feel called to do because I did it! But it definitely wasn’t easy. It took seven years of being very scrappy (and maybe a few anxiety attacks) to get to where I am today, but I am so happy and blessed to be doing what I love.

Being an artist was a job I’ve dreamed about since I was seven. I’d wear beatnik style clothing and carry around a plastic briefcase full of random Crayola art supplies. This was my vision of what an artist was at the time. Hilarious.

I have always been a creative. Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve worked any job that could help expand my knowledge for creating. I was a tile setter, granite countertops fabricator, welder, carpenter, and a few other odd job titles.

In all honesty, all of these job titles came with a pretty thick glass ceiling I had to break through which taught me a lot of resistance and persistence. Those lessons really helped me in my early twenties when I was let go from my high paying career as a lead commercial installer.

I was six month pregnant, thought I had my dream career, and was pretty crushed.

This was, however, the greatest blessing and turning point for me.
