GPSR compliance updates- Etsy adds compliance features

One of the large legislative changes that our industry saw last year was the introduction of a new framework for the EU called GPSR (General Product Safety Regulation). This was an overhaul of the European Product Safety framework. This update was eight years in the making, and replaced a disparate set of frameworks across the EU.

One of the complicating factors of the new GPSR framework relates to Northern Ireland. For this legislation, it is part of the EU. Traditionally, Northern Ireland would be considered part of the UK from a shipping perspective. Most systems are built with this assumption. However, now shipping to Northern Ireland means that the rules for GPSR must be followed.
