Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend the wonderful h+h americas show in Rosemont, IL. It was a great chance to connect with existing subscribers, as well as meet many new people. Each year the show expands into new areas as it rapidly grows. For me it marks the kickoff to the flurry of the busy warmer weather season. I am ready to get out and about and meet lots of new artisan businesses as I seek inspiration for the next few magazines.

I have a new goal this season- to not be so freaked out when people recognize me out in the wild. 😀 I’m an introvert and someone used to operating more behind the scenes. When someone I don’t know recognizes me, I often have the reaction like the small child that got their hand caught in the cookie jar. Usually Mr HMS fills in and helps the other person fill in the blank as I try to unfreeze myself. I’m a work in progress.
