If I had to sum up this article in one sentence I could simply say, “You don’t need Marmalead or eRank (formerly EtsyRank) to get ranked on Etsy, because what is known as the Etsy “rank” does not exist anymore.”

That’s right, you can’t “rank” on Etsy because it’s not a thing anymore, at least not since the latest algorithm change in March 2018 (ugh, don’t we just love those?).

To understand what this is all about and make sure we’re all on the same page for the rest of this discussion, we need to define a few key concepts around the way Etsy SEO works.
