Organically Growing Your Artisan Instagram Account Part 3

Creating a Winning Strategy for Social Media

I recently received a job offer to manage a small company’s social media accounts. As I’ve been busy with freelancing and working part-time as a content marketing manager for another small business, I had to decline. When I told the CEO that I won’t be able to accept their offer because I’m already knee-deep in work, they gave me a strange look, almost as if they didn’t understand what I had just said.

“We don’t even need much,” they said. “Just 2-3 posts a week. It can’t be that much work?”

Well, I’m sure you can imagine my reaction. As someone who has been working in social media for 4 years, I’m familiar with the stereotypes and people not understanding what my job is. However, if someone believes that it’s “just writing 2-3 posts a week,” I’d rather not work with them..

Of course, I know that you, the lovely readers, know that social media management is a multi-faceted job and requires a lot of time and attention to detail. Yes, you can get by writing just 2-3 random posts a week. But let’s be honest, if you want to effectively market your business on social media, there is no way around a well-thought-out social media marketing strategy.

A clear strategy acts as a guiding light for your marketing endeavors, increasing brand awareness, capturing new audiences, and driving traffic to your webshop.
