Artisan businesses embracing the Sustainability Trust Pledge
New opportunities to explore sustainability for your business

Hi, I’m Laetitia. I’m a creative director, brand strategist, and community builder with a diverse background in publishing, digital media, and editorial design. I spent the majority of my career as Creative Director for France-Amérique magazine in New York, with earlier experience in creative roles at Hachette Livre and Dentsu Aegis in France. The magazine unexpectedly closed shortly after I returned from maternity leave a year ago. After the shock wore off, I began reflecting on my next steps. I realized my passion lay in working exclusively with eco-responsible businesses — it felt like a natural calling. To deepen my expertise, I completed a green design certification to better understand the specific needs of sustainable businesses.
During the training, I learned about the corruption and inaccessibility of major certifications, which often exclude small businesses due to high costs and bureaucratic hurdles. This sparked frustration but also inspiration. I saw that small, values-driven eco-responsible businesses — often run by a single dedicated individual — have the potential to make a real difference. Through my branding agency, LM & Co, I launched the Sustainability Trust Pledge to give these businesses visibility, support, and motivation to grow, helping them overcome the financial and logistical challenges of staying sustainable.
The Sustainability Trust Pledge
The Sustainability Trust Pledge is a free initiative designed to spotlight small, eco-responsible businesses. It’s a collaborative platform where trust is key: each time a new member joins, a new part of our pledge — a commitment to prioritize the planet over profit— is revealed across vertical posts on our dedicated Instagram page. The process is intentionally gradual, emphasizing quality over quantity. I promote every new member through Instagram Stories and categorize them in Highlights, linking each to a specific pledge post. I also share their updates regularly in Stories, ensuring the account is 100% dedicated to amplifying their work. This visibility helps these businesses gain recognition and grow, fostering a community of trust and shared values.
